通り池（下地島）
下地島の西海岸沿いの高台にある双子の池「通り池」。二つの池が海底で繋がっており、さらに海側の池が海とも通じている特殊な構造がその名の由来です。国指定の景勝地として天然記念物にもなっている、人気の観光スポットです。
Twin ponds “Toriike” is located on a hill along the west coast of Shimoji Island. The name comes from the special structure. The two ponds are connected by the seabed and the pond on the seaside is also connected to the sea. It is a popular tourist spot and a natural monument as a nationally designated scenic spot.
