イペー（沖縄県）
沖縄で毎年3月～4月頃に黄金色の花を咲かせる、南米原産の樹木。街路樹や庭木として県内各地に植えられ、卒業式・入学式シーズンの沖縄の町を彩ります。1月～3月頃にはピンク色の花を咲かせる「モモイロイッペー」も見られます。
A tree native to South America that blooms golden flowers in Okinawa around March to April. They are planted as street trees or garden trees all over the prefecture, and graces the streets of Okinawa during the graduation and entrance ceremony season. You can also see the pink-flowered “Momoiro Ippe” in Okinawa from January to March.
