旧正月（糸満市）
沖縄の一部の地域では、現在も旧正月を祝う風習が残っています。旧暦文化が深く根付いている漁師町・糸満市の漁港では、旧暦1月1日の早朝から漁船に色鮮やかな大漁旗を飾り付け、1年間の豊漁と漁の安全を祈願します。
The custom of celebrating the Lunar New Year still remains in some areas of Okinawa. In Itoman City, a fisherman’s town where the lunar calendar culture is deeply rooted, a big colorful fishing flag is displayed on the fishing boat in the early morning of New Year’s Day to pray for a good catch and safe fishing.
