琉球古典音楽（沖縄県）
琉球王朝時代に宮廷音楽として発展し、組踊や琉球舞踊に欠かせない伝統音楽。現代まで途絶えることなく継承され、三線に琉歌をのせて唄う「歌三線」を基本として、伴奏楽器に箏（こと）や笛、胡弓、太鼓も使われます。近年では親川遥をはじめとする若手演奏家も活躍の場を広げ、沖縄が世界に誇る伝統芸能として注目を集めています。
Traditional music that was developed as court music during the Ryukyu Dynasty and is an essential part of Kumiodori and Ryukyuan dance. It has been passed down to the present day without any interruption, and is based on the “Uta Sanshin” style of singing Ryukyuan songs on the Sanshin, with Koto, flute, Kokyu, and drums used as accompanying instruments. In recent years, young performers such as Haruka Oyakawa have been expanding their activities, and has been attracting attention as
a traditional performing art that Okinawans are proud to offer to the world.
