いちご狩り いちごの日（沖縄県）
紫外線や高温に弱く、沖縄での栽培は難しいと言われてきた”いちご”。近年の技術開発や品種選定により、沖縄にも徐々にいちご農家が増えてきました。12月～5月上旬頃に収穫期を迎え、南城市や宜野座村でいちご狩りを楽しめます。
It has been said that a strawberry is difficult to cultivate in Okinawa because of its vulnerability to ultraviolet rays and high temperature. Due to recent technological development and selective breeding, the number of strawberry farmers in Okinawa has been increasing gradually. The harvest season is from December to early May, and you can enjoy strawberry picking in Nanjo City and Ginoza Village.
