カタブイ(沖縄県)
沖縄では、局地的に降る雨のことを方言で「カタブイ(片降り)」といいます。片方は晴れていても、もう片方は大雨が降っているという気象現象。短時間で通り過ぎていくので、沖縄では傘を持たない人が多いと言われています。
In Okinawa, locally occurring rainfall is called “Katabui” in the local dialect. It is
a weather condition where one side is clear but the other side is raining heavily. Since it passes in a short time, it is said that many people in Okinawa do not bring umbrellas.
